Ron Clouse received his masters degree in zoology from the University of Florida and his doctorate in biology from Harvard University. He has traveled on expeditions to Micronesia, New Guinea, Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and various areas in the United States, including the Pacific Northwest, the Florida Everglades, and the Southern Appalachians.
